The Smart Manufacturing Data Hub (SMDH) is organising SMS2023, which will explore developments in Smart Manufacturing, Internet of Things, Digital Transformation, Big Data Analytics, 5G, and Artificial Intelligence.

Northern Ireland’s first Smart Manufacturing Summit

SMDH is holding Northern Ireland’s first ever 2-day Smart Manufacturing Summit (SMS2023) in Derry~Londonderry on 28th and 29th June 2023. 

The summit will explore the latest developments in Smart Manufacturing, Internet of Things (IoT), Smart Transportation, Digital Transformation, Big Data Analytics, Blockchain, 5G, and Artificial Intelligence.

SMS2023 is the perfect platform for all industry experts to network and learn best practices from leaders in smart manufacturing.

The summit arrives on the back of a successful year for the SMDH project across the UK.  Engagements, workshops and project activities have taken place with Manufacturing SMEs from NI, England, Scotland and Wales.

Led by Ulster University and supported by 11 other organisations including The Data Lab, SMDH is a £50m innovation hub. It aims to boost productivity in the UK manufacturing sector by providing a new data innovation centre and test-bed. The Data Lab is leading the data analytics strand, helping SMEs to adopt data-powered operations.

An opportunity to meet leaders in smart manufacturing 

The SMDH team has gathered an amazing panel of experts, including Linda Newnes, Professor of Cost Engineering at Bath University, and Neil Tatman, Global Chief of Digital Manufacturing at Rolls Royce, to provide attendees with the latest industry insights.

Attendees will also have the chance to network and forge business relationships with senior leaders in manufacturing.

Embracing smart manufacturing to accelerate industry

The summit theme is “Embracing Smart Manufacturing to Accelerate Industry.” Attendees will learn how to implement smart manufacturing in their businesses to become more cost-efficient, productive, and competitive.
